Josh My Autobiography

My name is Josh Kuehl. I am 14 years of age and I love riding bikes,drawing, playing games, and also writing on myself with permanent marker. In school, I enjoy math a little bit and I really dislike writing, but I am getting better.

I am having an o.k. time here at SOAR. I like that we go on expeditions, like going on Lake Fontana and fishing was also fun on Lake Fontana and the rivers. I like that I am losing weight here at SOAR. I think it is from working out and not eating as much as I do at home.

I am from around Monterrey, California. If you have heard of Laguna Seca, my house is really close to there. My family is really nice. I took them for granted and I miss them very much.

One of my goals is to get stronger and not be fat like I am now. I want to be able to write without being frustrated in school.

Will Calland's First Expedition

Hello fellow followers. During our trip in the field we caught fish, went in canoes, hiked, camped out on the water of Lake Fontana, and had a lot of fun. We hiked about 10 to 13 miles on the trail. Our trip consisted of a loop going through Panther town Valley. We camped in very nice warm shelters, and hiked in warm weather, but we also hiked in very cold weather and campsites surrounded by pine trees.

On our canoe trip we went on Lake Fontana in two-person canoes and paddled almost all day. We slept on giant beautiful islands and fished as well. I will attach some pictures when I have time to add them on. But for now, I will be solving math problems, and taking notes on a test about Indians. Farewell and enjoy the pictures. By the way, my life would be a little more interesting if I had my pet rats, but that isn’t going to happen.

The first expedition is over, and another one is going to begin in one week. On our fist expedition, we had so many problems and people arguing nonstop. It was so annoying and they make me want to scream my freaking lungs out. There is this girl named Anna, and she is amazing. During our first expedition, we went canoeing which was really fun. We had girl time with this kid named Peter, and we had lots of fun. My highlights of the trip were when everyone was actually getting along for the first time. The only reason why we were getting along so well was because everyone was having fun swimming, laughing, and playing in the water. The times that we argue are when we have to do work and work together. Some people were not behaving too properly, so they didn’t get to go to a restaurant. The people that were behaving got to go to a Chinese buffet. The food there was so good, and as well as their deserts. One of the students were talking and making funny jokes when at the restaurant, and they made me laugh so hard that I choked on my food to the point where I threw up. On our car ride back to base, we were laughing our butts off. Peter is funny as heck, and I love that kid (as a friend.) At the moment Katy, Anna, and I are sitting on our bunks writing our blogs, and Peter is sitting on Anna’s bunk writing his blog as well. Now it is time to go to bed, so I am going to say goodbye and goodnight.

Aye yo’. I’m Annaaa.(: You could call me the bomb-diggity(; Whiter than Cool Whip!! I am 14 years old, but I am mature. Nobody does me like I do me, so you don’t even come close. I was born in a taxi cab on my way to Hogwarts Witch Craft & Wizardry, while the taxi driver was trying to run over all the muggles… Nah, not really, haha. J I was born March 7^th, 1997 in Supply, North Carolina. I am an only child and raised by my Mom. Life’s what you make it and I make mine great! I have many nicknames, but I am mainly called “Annaboo”. Then again, most people call me “Lil’Snookie”. People say I remind them of Snookie because I am the cute short girl with the attitude.

      I am a blonde. I am smarter than the stupid jokes, but I still have my “Anna Moments”.(: I guess you can call me a rebel. Urban-Rock- that’s how I roll. I am always in mini-shorts, holy-jeans, or skinny jeans. I have big eyes, and a million dollar smile!(: I am short and small but I am not afraid of anyone. Haters do not phase me.

      I want to go to Juilliard School of Performing Arts in NYC for drama/music. I rap and write songs. I have haters, but they’re the people that encourage me to do better. I am known by people as a goofy, wild, clumsy, and hilarious girl. I have many friends, you could call me popular. I know practically everyone where I live. There isn’t one person that has never heard of my name.  I am extremely artistic and crazy. People love me for the fact that I speak my mind, and I don’t care what people think. I am me, and that’s what I do best.

      My Mother’s name is Hope. She is quite amazing! You know that saying “You think I’m crazy? You should meet my Mother”? Yeah, well I think that was mainly made just for her. Hahaha. She is terrific. I don’t really see my Dad for private reasons. I actually never met him until I was 9, and he wasn’t as great as I thought he would be. I have a dog named Ragland, and he is amazingly adorable. He is just too cute! I wouldn’t be here without my two bestfriends though. Ashland Smith, and Annabelle Rahal. Those girls are my life! Both of them are like sisters to me. Without them, I wouldn’t be here today. They have gotten me through it all. No matter who does what, we are always there for each other. Even if we don’t get along sometimes, we still love each other. I would die for those two girls. They are my complete life!

      Surfing is the sport. I also cheer. I am one of those girls that isn’t afraid to break a nail. I can’t stand being told what to do by someone that is younger than I am. I also hate it when guys hit girls. My hobby is photography. It is amazing, and my life’s surrounding. My favorite holiday is Christmas, because it is a time when the whole family gets together and spends time with each other.

Hello, my name is Natalie Yana Johnson. I am currently 17 and live in Minnesota. I have brown hair and brown eyes. I am about 5 foot 4 inches and have a darker skin tone, sort of like a tan.

                I have one brother named, Wyatt, a mom named, Shelley, and a dad named Vaughn. I also have two pets named, Maggie and Panther. Maggie is a 7 year old golden retriever. Panther is a 4 month old kitten. My dog is very hyper active and is really funny in general. My kitten is so sweet and calm. I love her so very much. My family is important because my dog and kitten both make me laugh whenever I am down and crying.

(BY:ANNA) Our first backpacking/canoeing expedition!!:D

           Hello. This is my blog. I will write about my adventure. First off, right now we are having girl time with Peter in the girls cabin. He keeps bringing up the fact that Katy has a lady product. Natalie and I said we have some too, just to back Katy up. So he asked us to see some. LOL. Anyway, when we were at an island on our canoe expedition, Moira lost our camera in the HUGE lake. She had everyone looking for it and we couldn’t walk in the water because dirt would go everywhere and she wouldn’t be able to see it. We looked for hours and finally just gave up. It was hysterical. Then Garrett found a “fishing lure” in the water, but it was actually a USED lady product. LOL. Then he started arguing with Katy about whether or not she was right. It was great. After all of that, we went canoeing. I got paired up with Moira. We got tired of paddling and she found a trash bag. She made it into a sail. We called it the “hobo sail boat”. It was pretty funny.

          We had our ups and our downs but I have to say the best memory was when I twisted my ankle. Moira and I were backpacking and we got left behind because my hiking boots were cutting up my feet because they were too small. She went to go find the others and left me by myself, and I tripped when I had to get up and use the tree… and I twisted my ankle. Then Natalie accidentally dropped my boot down some huge hill and Moira had to play “hide and seek” with my shoe. Katy, Natalie, and I were chewing gum at the gas station and we told Poole that Katy stole the gum. She said “no dude” and we went back and forth. It was awesome. On the way to the Chinese Buffet, Peter, Natalie, Josh, and I were in the van partying to music. It was an amazing day!

         We just finished our 1st expedition. Being clean feels good! During the expedition, I caught my 1st fish, watched a beautiful sunset, laughed when Garrett mistook a tampon for a  fishing lure. My 1st fish was a midget crappie.
         Earlier tonight, we went to eat at a Chinese buffet. We had a party on the van ride there and back. During the expedition, we also played hide and seek with the shoe, Moira lost the SOAR camera, and my backpack is too big.
